SEE THE AMERICAN ACTOR AND SINGER THAT LOOKS LIKE IBB

Ever heard of the name, Terrence Howard ? Oh yes, that Chicago born actor and singer who starred in Iron man, Get rich or die tryin', Four brothers, August rush, Winnie, The brave One and the recent Tv series on Fox television-Empire, amongst so many others.

Well this guy looks so much like our own ex-military head of state of Nigeria, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, IBB when he was so much younger. This is my observation, actually. Yours can differ. But take a good look at their pictures and judge.

ARE YOU AWARE THAT LENT 2015 IS ALREADY ON ?

Catholic faithfuls and indeed Christians all over the world are observing the Lenten season which is a time for the preparation of the death of Christ Jesus on good Friday and His resurrection on Easter. It is a solemn observance which begins on Ash Wednesday and lasts for a period of 40 days, not including the sundays, that precede Easter. This period is characterized by Fasting and Praying and not eating meat for some denominations of the church.

Lent for 2015 is from Wednesday, February 18 to Saturday, April 4 (Holy Saturday) and April 5 is the EASTER Day celebration for this year of our LORD.

Happy Celebrations !

GEN. BUHARI OUTCRIES THAT HE WILL INHERIT HUGE DEBT PROFILE AND EMPTY TREASURY.

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC party, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has expressed concern over inheriting a huge debt profile and empty treasury if elected President of Nigeria after the polls. He however confidently assured Nigerians that he and his team would assist in turning the situation around using his wealth of experience. He made this known through a statement presented by the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation, Mallam Garba Shehu.

He said in his words as thus : "It is crystal clear that our revenues are dwindling by the day and if we must survive, we can not continue on this path of near absence of accountability, mismanagement, outright waste and jamboree that has characterized the management of public resources under the Jonathan-led PDP government. We can assure the mass of Nigerian people that help is on the way. We know that an APC controlled Federal Government will obviously inherit a huge debt profile and an empty treasury from this PDP Federal Government. We are confident of turning the situation around. It is apparent that the FG has suddenly found itself in a bind with plummeting crude oil prices in the Int'l market but typical of a team that lacks capacity for anticipatory actions, the FG has been running from pillar to post in a vain bid to stabilize the economy".

Wow, those are strong words coming from the non-garrulous general.

PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN DISMISSES THE IDEA OF INTERIM GOVERNMENT BEING CIRCULATED.

According to the President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan : "Interim government is not known to the Nigerian constitution. I don't have powers to redefine our constitution. There is no way Goodluck Jonathan, who was elected by the people with a clear mandate, will now go and head an interim government without a mandate. The only interim government that anybody can contemplate is a military government which, of course ,will not be accepted. ECOWAS will not accept it, that is why we forced Burkina Faso to take the decision they took; AU will not accept it, UN will not accept it and Nigerians will not in this present generation accept it. So any insinuation about interim government is treasonable and people should not talk about it. Elections will be conducted as scheduled by INEC ".

He made this speech yesterday, February 22, 2015 at the first 2015 Plenary session of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) held in Abuja.

The Catholic Arch Bishop of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan urged the president to call his supporters to order in their hate speeches and campaigns.
