TENSION, PANIC AS NIGERIANS GO TO THE POLLS TOMORROW

In as much as majority of the Nigerian populace are excited to decide who the nation's next president is by casting their votes tomorrow, May 28, 2015, there is still that tension and uncertainty in the air as to what becomes of the country following several predictions from some quarters about how violent and bloody it would become, GOD forbid.

Well, we are still here as one nation blessed by the Sovereign GOD. United we shall all stand. The elections shall come and pass peacefully and the next president sworn in on May 29, 2015 in a chaos-free manner. This is my prayer for my dear country, Nigeria. Selah.

TIPS FROM PSYCHOLOGISTS

Psychologists say -

1) If a person laughs too much, even at stupid things, he is lonely deep inside...

2) If a person sleeps a lot, he is sad...

3) If a person speaks less, but speaks fast, he keeps secrets...

4) If someone can not cry, he is weak....

5) If someone eats in an abnormal manner, he is tense....

6) If someone cries on little things, he is innocent and soft-hearted...

7) If someone becomes angry over silly or petty(small) things, it means he needs love....

Try to understand people more. Keep sharing.

NIGERIA'S FIRST LADY AND WOMEN PDP RALLIES.

The First lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan, after the postponement of the previously scheduled February election, has been  going round in almost all the states of the federation aggressively campaigning and canvassing using the Women PDP rallies, for the re-election of her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan in the March 28, 2015 election.

She goes with the entourage of such women as wife of senate president, Helen Mark, PDP National women leader, Kema chikwe and others. Ofcourse some Nollywood actresses like Rita Edochie & co, accompany her.

My gist here anyway is how entertaining these rallies have become by just watching the First lady dish out her vocabularies and insults on the members of the opposition party. Her never- ending- slow speech once she mounts the podium, leaves the expression of tiredness and diplomatic disgust on the faces of the so called women supporting her as they stand behind her on those stages. One of the observations is Mrs Helen Mark, who stylishly disappears from the stage once the first lady begins her speech and sometimes re-appears when she eventually rounds up her long talk. She, Helen Mark, in particular, can not stand the first lady's stance and lack of decorum. Madam Mark, it shows on your face o. The likes of Dr Kema Chikwe diplomatically covers up her own expressions and so energetically goes with the flow regardless of how the first lady presents herself at these rallies....after all she, Kema, is the PDP National Women leader and so the chief co-ordinator of the rallies. But surprisingly, she just could not hide it in their last rally done in Edo state on Saturday, March 14
, 2015. At a point she got so tired of the long and slow speech of the First Lady.

I keep wondering why the Vice President's wife is not part of these rallies. How come she is left out in all of the drama, despite the fact that the struggle is for the President and her own husband, Arc Namadi Sambo. May be there is eventually no love lost between some factions in this camp and they try to conceal it.

PARENTS AT BLUE IVY'S SCHOOL COMPLAIN ABOUT JAYZ AND BEYONCE. FIND OUT WHY.

Parents complain at a hollywood pre-school attended by Blue ivy carter, the daughter of Jay Z and Beyonce, popularly called the power couple artistes because of the millions of dollars they are worth...whatever.

Two cars and three bodyguards take this kid to and from school on a daily basis....infact she comes in and out with an entourage !

The 3-year old preschool is not impressed and pleased that she has such a big posse. Reports have it that the elite preschool has children of other hollywood celebrities in attendance and they are dropped off at school by one driver and not an entire staff as is the case of the Carters.

Mehn, that sounds like a whole village bringing Blue to school. The Carters should slow it down because they are not the only famous moneybags. Y'all should expect the worst from kanye when it's time for North.

HOUSE OF SENATE FINALLY CONFIRMS FORMER MINISTER MUSILIU OBANIKORO AS A RETURNEE MINISTER

Despite the warnings from various quarters including the opposition party, the APC about not confirming the former minister of state for defence to return as a minister based on the Ekiti state governorship election rigging audio being circulated online, the Nigerian house of senate still went ahead to confirm him during the house plenary session on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.

Mr Obanikoro was named in a leaked tape as a principal actor in the 2014 Ekiti state rigging saga which has sparked off national outrage and the Nigerian government has refused to investigate the claims.

The APC lawmakers responded by walking out of the session in protest.

SO WHAT IS GOING WRONG AGAIN IN THE FRESH JOB RECRUITMENT EXERCISE FOR NIGERIAN IMMIGRATION SERVICE ?

Barely a month now that the federal government has ordered for a fresh recruitment exercise for the Nigeria Immigration service after the ill fated previous one was cancelled last year, 2014, the website provided for numerous applicants to apply online is up till now having technical issues.

Alot of intending applicants have not been able to apply due to this hitch and the deadline which is March 22, 2015 is by the corner.

There are reports that some business centers or cybercafes in the various states of the federation have been designated to collect a thousand naira each from applicants inorder to issue them the application forms which is contrary to what the FG told the unemployed that the whole exercise is free and should be done online.

The shadiness in all of this is very pitiful and worrisome. Why would a whole system such as this, having failed the masses the first time, now come out to give the people a shabby fresh recruitment exercise, starting from a job website which is technically not working even up till now and some business centers are having a field day making money out of the exercise. One would wonder how come they are able to do so, meanwhile when you try yours using the link provided by the government for the application, there's a deadlock. Only few are able to apply after so many trial and error. This country !

PRESIDENT JONATHAN FIRES SURE-P CHAIRMAN- GEN AGWAI

President Goodluck Jonathan has sacked the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowernment Programme (SURE-P) Chairman, Rtd General Martin Luther Agwai.

This took place yesterday, March 10, 2015 and Rtd Gen Agwai is to hand over to the new chairman in the person of Mr Ishaya Dare Akau whose appointment is with immediate effect, according to the Presidential Spokesman, Reuben Abati.

Gen Agwai's inevitability of change remarks at the 78th birthday ceremony of former president Olusegun Obasanjo is what led to his sack by the current president.
In his words, he said "in life you find out that everything needs change, if that is what the community wants, what the people want, you must give it to them and as such it becomes inevitable".

I guess this statement must have infuriated President Jonathan and the ruling party and we all know the slogan "change" is synonymous with the opposition party, APC. So to them, Rtd Gen Agwai is biting the finger that feeds him.
